Hi there!  I’m Betsy, and I created this space in hopes of being a place of encouragement and a helpful resource for homeschooling families.

I am an unexpected homeschooling mama – this wasn’t what we set out to do when our first child was ready for school. Our kids went to the sweetest preschool and pre-k and then our oldest went through 2^nd grade in our small town’s public school system.

We felt the pull to have more family time and give our children a longer, slower childhood. We saw that disappearing with the hustle and bustle we were already experiencing with them at such a young age. 

Starting out we decided to give homeschool a year to try and here we are many years later loving the decision more and more as the years go by.

Neither my husband nor I knew a single person who was homeschooled or who homeschooled their own kids. So starting out was an adventure!

Luckily I like research and did a ton of it online. I pulled from so many places and through that research and trial and error I found a wonderful rhythm for our family.

I love to share what I’ve learned and really want this to be a place to help others in a way I didn’t have when first starting out homeschooling.

Homeschool has been such a beautiful addition to our family and I hope to help others find the little beautiful moments in their homeschool lives.
